Lovely to be back in Burgau, our favourite place, staying in this beautiful apartment. It had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The terrace is in a great spot, capturing the evening sunshine. We loved cooking outside on the built in barbecue, enjoying a vinho verde and the scent from the surrounding rosemary bushes as the sun went down. Can’t wait to come back. This super apartment is ideally situated in the beautiful village of Burgau. Located in a very well kept, quiet residential area; It has everything on hand. Easy walking distance to the beach, eateries, grocery shopping etc. The property also comes with access to a lovely pool area, which we used several times on our stay. The apartment was spotless on arrival. It is well equipped; has everything you need and is very comfortable. The property manager made sure we were happy with everything and we knew he was only a call away if we needed anything. We arrived late in the evening and the extra touches left for us: water, bread, butter… and more, was very much appreciated. Communication with the owner throughout has been super. We were delighted that Paul was accommodating with our flight times and flexible with our late afternoon departure. Our whole experience was relaxed and stress free. The apartment is very roomy and comfortable and was fully equipped. Really close to the beach with the added bonus of the swimming pool just across the road. Joao and Daniela were a gem and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely go back! Karen - Highly recommended
A second return to this apartment speaks for itself & a fifth return to Burgau-it really is a stunning little village. The apartment is well positioned, being 5 minutes from the beautiful beach & has everything you could need. A home from home. Paul couldn’t have been more helpful when it came to me having trouble filling out forms due to cv19 & locating a good nearby gym for my son. Joao meets you upon arrival & is on call should you need anything. There’s plenty of choice of restaurants & everywhere felt safer than here in U.K. Activities & trips are available nearby such as Caves & dolphins, Jet Ski’s etc & Surfing School to name just a few. We had a lovely holiday in Burgau which we love. Paul and Jules were very easy to communicate with before the holiday and Ana very responsive and helpful while we were there. The apartment is well-equipped, and good value and you can easily walk to the beautiful beach and many great restaurants in the village. We recommend the No 9 Tapas for very friendly service and delicious food. The pool is also very close by. Good, affordable accommodation for our family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 teens. Burgau is like a second home to us. We have been visiting for 12 years! We decided to go despite the craziness of covid his year to make it our fifth stay in Paul and Jules' apartment which is home from home! Beautifully maintained, with all the equipment you could need, it is conveniently situated for the short walk to the beach and the restaurants close by. Burgau is like a Cornish fishing village in the Sun. It has everything you need. Good food, great beaches, safe, and clean. If its loud music and nightclubs you are after this is not the place for you! The apartment is clean, tidy and modern. The beds are comfortable, the A/C cold and the WiFi is fast enough. We enjoyed 9 days in this apartment in Burgau and enjoyed so much! Burgau is a beautiful and fairly calm little village. The apartment is located in a larger estate are which is very well maintained. The Barkers Apartment is perfectly equipped - we missed nothing. It has also a great and luxurious standard that we enjoyed a lot. We just felt at home. The walking distance to the beach is relaxed 10 Minutes. Also the way to Rota Vincentina, a beautiful hiking trail, is close. The Barkers as landlords are more than helpful, they take care of any question and send out a perfect and all-including Q&A and Information-Sheet. The local caretakers that welcomed us are also very lovely and helpful. Ryan - Fantastic apartment
Visited this apartment for the second year running and it is definitely a great stay in a peaceful village. The additions of the new floor tiles, outside glass windshield and the walk-in shower made the stay more enjoyable. Recommend this apartment and a holiday to Burgau! Thomas - Alles bestens!
Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der Wohnung und in Burgau. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war perfekt und sehr freundlich. Wir haben von ihm sehr viele Informationen erhalten. Check in, check out ohne Probleme. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Die Lage der Wohnung ist ruhig und zentral. Für Selbstverpflegung ist alles vorhanden. Kurz gesagt 5 Sterne. We booked the apartment in Burgau for a week this October. Everything was excellent. The apartment was spacious, very clean and extremely well equipped for us as a family and travelling with two young children. Paul & Jules were so helpful and answered every question asked quickly. This is a ground floor apartment with veranda, two large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms Well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and lovely lounge area and great TV with UK tv channels and excellent Wi-Fi Built in BBQ on veranda Local shops in walking distance and nice restaurants in the village Good beach but steep hill to get to it! Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans cet appartement situé au calme dans un petit village de pêcheur (il faut dire que c'était la basse saison). Il est très fonctionnel avec deux grandes chambres et deux belles salles de bain, un séjour et une cuisine très pratiques. Tout est pensé pour que les vacances se passent au mieux et le propriétaire est vraiment très sympathique (il vaut mieux parler anglais quand même). Il y a également une piscine commune à plusieurs logements mais elle était plus froide que l'océan et nous n'y sommes donc pas allés. La plage est à 10 minutes à pied et il est possible de se promener le long des falaises. Si je devais trouver quelques défauts, je dirais que la télé n'est qu'en anglais et la terrasse est assez petite et surtout de plain-pied, donc on ne peut pas y laisser sécher des affaires. Mais nous avons eu tellement d'informations et de conseils avant le départ de la part du propriétaire que nous nous sommes tout de suite trouvés à l'aise! Joe - Great apartment
We already knew the village of Burgau prior to arrival, great places to eat fine variety food, great beach only a few mins from the apartment. Other areas of the Algarve within easy reach, my wife and myself went to chill out with a bit of sun, all was achieved. Thanks Paul & Jules your apartment was a joy to stay in fully equipped is an understatement and local help Ana in the background but available if required. Thanks to all concerned. |
Eden - Lovely Apartment in Burgau
We had a great stay at this apartment in Burgau. The apartment is very well equipped as a self-catering property and spacious enough for four adults. Paul was very accommodating in the lead up to our stay and there was great communication throughout. The apartment was clean and the property managers were very helpful. The balcony is a great spot to catch the sun in the afternoon and into the evening. I would definitely recommend this home; we can’t wait to stay again! Alan - Great apartment
2nd stay in the apartment for us! Our holiday had to be rearranged twice due to covid and because we welcomed a new baby and Paul and Jules were so understanding and helpful in rearranging. They were also great with supplying us with up-to-date information about Burgau. The apartment is lovely, spacious and has everything you might need. Additionally, the pool and bar across the road are perfect for Lazy nights when you don’t want to cook and are responsibly priced. Enjoyed our stay here and appreciated the extra touches like soap in the bathrooms, a few dishwasher tablets to get your started, and lol rolls ( plus milk, water, wine and juice when you arrive ️) and the use of the travel cot and highchair for free. We have been visiting Burgau for the past 15 years, a 3 year gap due to Covid. It was lovely to visit this year. Paul & Jules communication was 1st class, could not have been more helpful. Thank you. The appartment was like home from home, extremely clean, comfortable and all that you required for a relaxing stay was provided. The location is brilliant, Nova Beech Club, was great fun and staff extremely friendly. We were met by Joao on arrival who was very informative and always there if needed. We had a very nice time in Burgau. The apartment is very convenient, quiet and very clean. We enjoyed the daily walk (10 Min) into the beautiful little town of Burgau with the beach, shops and the restaurants. The apartment is close to the cliff paths so after 5 min you can start hiking into the nature along the coast. In the apartment (with two bathrooms!) you find everything you need and if not then the very friendly apartment manager Joao will help you soon. Absolutely recommendable Bryan - Burgau Holiday
We stayed at this apartment for a second time. Perfect location, excellent condition and very friendly cleaning/maintenance team who can’t do enough for you. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, heating and air conditioning. It’s like new and clearly well cared for. We will definitely be returning again - we don’t look for anything else in Burgau anymore. Peter - We love this location
We stayed for 2 weeks in this ground floor apartment. It has outside built in BBQ and glazed veranda to minimize any evening breeze. It has 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms; a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and lovely lounge area. The owners, Paul & Jules, have invested in this apartment, super TV with UK tv channels and excellent Wi-Fi (f.o.c.). Local shops just a very short walk and lovely variety of restaurants in the village. Good clean and safe beach 10 mins walk away, with a great Beach Bar, which is popular. The owners have a fantastic local management team (Joao and Daniele) who can’t do enough to help with places to visits and other travel tips. We found the owner’s communications excellent Highly recommended, and we’ll be back!! Julie - burgau
Beautiful and well equipped apartment with attention to homely detail. The bbq and outside sitting area make for a relaxing afternoon or evening. Walking down the road through the tiny fishing village of Burgau is as much a pleasure as arriving at the beach just 5 mins walk away. Close to supermarkets for provisions, well stocked gift shops and ATM’s. Plenty of choice of restaurants should you want to eat out. Abi - Beautiful apartment
Our stay at Paul and Jules apartment was fantastic! The apartment is clean, well presented and has everything you could think you might need. We loved that we were so close to the beach and there was a pool available for us to use. Paul and Jules were so very helpful before we got to Burgau with their information about transfers, the little info pack they emailed across , and in the apartment they had a more information about the local area, restaurants, things to do etc . The apartment itself is wonderful - very spacious and It’s so handy to have a dishwasher, and washing machine, everything has been thought of even Tupperware ! UK tv channels were godsend for the mornings with the kids . Showers are also amazing and we loved the jacuzzi bath ! Such a great apartment in such a lovely area - close enough to the beach, shops and restaurants to walk but far enough away that you don’t have to deal with noise in the evenings . My husband and I stayed here for a week at the star of October 2019 with our close friends.The apartment was immaculate. There was everything that we could possibly need for a week's self catering break. Access to the lovely, sandy beach and shops was just a short walk away and there was a plethora of super places to eat - all which required booking. The barbecue at the apartment was a lovely touch and made eating in a little bit special. Everyone we met, be they local or tourist was helpful and approachable.The pool was very close - whilst this itself was spotlessly clean and the sunbeds in good repair the parasols and the material in the shaded area together with the lack lustre garden gave it an air of being uncared for. It may be that it was due to the time of year we visited but what could be a super addition to the complex lacked any appeal and often there were only two of us there. This was a very minor point in what was a super week away in a beautiful location with glorious weather. If I could provide one idea for potential improvement it would be the ability to hire pool towels - implemented in the same was as the key. They are bulky to travel with and when airlines are so stringent with weight are an unwanted item. Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Bergau. We stayed for a week in September 2018. We cooked a lot in the apartment and everything you need is already there. You're just across the road from a pool, which is situated in a lovely garden which overlooks the beach. This apartment is a two-minute walk from the centre of Burgau and a five-minute walk to Burgau Beach. I would recommend walking to the top of the cliff, which is next to the pool and taking in the beautiful views of Burgau while overlooking the beach. Can’t wait to come back again very soon. We stayed for three weeks in August 2018. The apartment is perfect for a holiday of any length. It has everything you need. We cooked a lot in the apartment and everything you need is already there. We had an issue with the drainage system for the washing machine, but once I informed the apartment management team, they fixed it immediately. Great service! You're just across the road from the pool, which is situated in a lovely garden on a cliff above the beach. There's a nice breeze which is great when it gets too hot. It's a pity the restaurant in the complex is so expensive, but it's only a two-minute walk into the village where you have plenty of alternatives. Another couple of minutes and you are at the beach. We have been to Burgau for the past 8 years and this is the best place we have stayed to date. Highly recommended. Beryl - Fabulous apartment and village

This is our 5th visit to Burgau and our 2nd time in Paul’s apartment. It’s perfect for a family of 4, in a fabulous location, well equipped and has a decent sized balcony, it’s comfortable and very clean. Ana and staff always available should we need assistance. The pool is easily accessible although this time we didn’t use it. Can’t wait to come back again very soon. Collette – Excellent
